After the birth of my niece in December, it took me quite a while to complete her gift, but complete it I did, and this is how it turned out.

 I am really pleased with it, and it was quite a learning curve for me too, with the rounded edges etc.  I also  made this matching photo frame and both were very well received.

When my girlfriend gave birth to her first baby on Saturday night, I immediately went into action, creating this box and card in a very short space of time (I had two boxes painted – one in girl colours, the other in boy colours – just wating to be covered!!).  I was really pleased with the way it turned out, and so was my girlfriend and her husband.

It’s made me get the creative bug back, something that I haven’t had in some time!  I’m looking forward to completing another couple of “off the page” projects soon (I have a bookmark to make for our She-essence Creative RAK as well as a matching photo frame for this box) and completing some long overdue LO’s.

So Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, I hope you are sharing your love around.

This challenge is to make a card for your valentine, using whatever catches your eye, from papers, stamps and inks to ribbons, chipboard and paint, it doesn’t matter what you use.

Well I  had my first ever Stampin Up Workshop on Friday night and as an avid scrapbooker I think I’m hooked. I just can’t believe that they have so many gorgeous stamps and apparently we Aussies only have a small selection of the full range at present.

Wow!!! We made 2 cards, a gift tag and decorated a candle. Oh bummer I just realised that I haven’t yet taken photo’s and my memory card on my camera is full. That can be a job for the weekend and then I’ll show you what I made.

In the new year a group of us are going to do a Stamping Course which will surely get me on my way….I can’t wait, there’s just so much you can do with one little stamp.

Happy Stamping

Well I am really trying to get myself better organised this year with my Christmas Cards. The last couple of years I not only left my card making process far too late but I also attempted ‘grand’ techniques for the cards and consequently I didn’t end up finishing them.

So this year, I have already particpated in a Card Swap with the scrapping gals over at She-essence (so I can’t show you those just yet, until the swap is complete) and I obtained a sheet of christmas stickers in a product swap that are super cute but I probably wouldn’t use them on a page.

My aim was to get as many cards out of the one sheet of stickers that I could. I’m pretty happy with the results, with six cards in total, simple but still very christmasy. What do you think?
