Those who visited MyScrapShop.com last year will remember our new releases chat. As well as meeting many of the MSS designers, having a great chat (with a few games thrown in) chat participants got a sneak peek at our new releases for that week, prizes and fantastic giveaways.

The news? The chat is back! Make sure to visit MSS on February 5th for the first chat for 2009, there’s bound to be some great giveaways to mark the occasion.

What a relief that is!! All the scrapbooking, hobby & craft challenges that I organise over at She-essence are well and truly underway. The first time around for the year always is the biggest, planning how they’ll run, organising sponsors and all that jazz.

Us scrapbookers seem to love the art of blogging and I for one love to read other scrapbooking blogs. I love seeing what others come up with on a daily basis. I also love spending time surfing the net going from blog to blog. So I thought why not have one place to find all blogs with a ‘scrappy’ feel to them.

We’ve recently introduced a monthly Photography Challenge over at the forum which runs over two consectutive months. Month one we choose a theme for our shots and then month two we complete a layout of the photo’s we took. It’s proving to be a popular challenge with everyone really enjoying the first round, which was themed, “Spring Flowers”.  We sure had some great entries and in fact this shot from Chantal of Always In Bloom not only took out the photography challenge but was also the overall winner of the month for all of our challenges. I am sure you’ll agree that it is a stunning shot from Chantal. Well done, can’t wait to see what you come up with next month.
