Eeeeekkk!  I guess I’ll have to scrapbook more now that I’m contributing to All Things Scrapbooking – now that will be a challenge for me.  I must say, that I’m more of a cardmaker than a scrapper.

I thought I’d show you all how easy it is to make great layouts without the need for patterned papers.

This layout is a 6×6.  I’ve stamped the background with Stampin’ Up! Stamp Set – Shape Ups.  I’ve used ink the same colour as the cardstock, which is Green Galore (my fav green – well one of my favs), the other colours I’ve used are Only Orange, Chocolate Chip and Green Gable – all from Stampin’ Up!  The word ‘SWEET’ was stamped with Stampin’ Up! Alphabet Set – Pure & Simple.  I stamped the word using Green Galore and Chocolate Chip Ink.  To get the lighter colour I inked up, then stamped onto scrap paper, then again onto my cardstock.

Just a really simple effective layout, great for a brag book.

Well I kinda struggled wth this one and have been mulling over it for the last couple of hours, scratch pad in hand whilst I prepared dinner and then I had started all over again whilst I was eating dinner…..it’s pretty boring stuff and I was trying to come up with something kind of exciting, but in the end I concluded that hey, this me, like it or not and here’s 5 Things You May Not Know About Me!

My favourite store is Howards Storage World and I also love love love Tupperware secretly I am an organisational freak! I dream of the day that my whole home is completely organised from top to bottom. Now that we are finally in ‘our’ home I can start to bring that dream to life, one stoarge cupboard at a time

As a teenager I lived to perform, Drama was my all time favourite subject at High School and with a few other friends we competed in Theatresports at the La Boite Theatre in Brisbane a few times. I am considering getting back into it next year as my DS is showing real interest in the Performing Arts.

I yearn to be able to Sing even just enough to be able to hold the crowd at a Karaoke session. I always sing, in the car, in the shower, at home. The songs don’t matter so much and these days it is more than likely an ABC Kids Song anyway, but who cares. One day I will go and have those singing lessons.

Whilst losing my baby teeth I saw the Tooth Fairy I have no idea how old I was, but I can still remember waking in the middle of the night and seeing her flickering light flutter across my bedroom from the window, over to where my glass, filled with water and my tooth was. The light then proceeded to flicker away back across the room and out the window….I saw the Tooth Fairy!

In Grade 5 I won 2nd Prize for my drawing of the Map of Queensland, that was entered into our local show. I was pretty darn chuffed at the little red second prize flag.

Well finally after a very long week I am finished all of my Handmade Christmas Gifts. Lots of altered notebooks as everyone always loves them! I also completed a framed layout of my son’s preschool class for his teacher, of which I completely forgot to take a snap of so I can’t show you that but here’s some of the other piccies.

Whilst we are on the subject of Altered Notebooks I’m curious what everyone else is using in terms of adhesive for these? I recently used a stick of Pritt Power Glue but was wondering what you use. Please leave a comment and let me know what adhesive you prefer for altered notebooks.

Well the mad rush is on to finish all of those bits and pieces that I decided to make for Christmas Presents. I’ve already completed a few Altered Notebooks but gave them to their respective recipients before I took a photo oops! But here’s a quicky one I did for DD’s Child Care Teacher. It’s a little mini notebook that I picked up at a $2 shop and now I wish I bought them all, they are great and work prefectly with a 6 x 6 scrap pad.

Ok now check this out, technically not scrapbooking I know but they sure are great for the kids and such a simple little thing to make. DS received these today from one of his Preschool teachers, aren’t they just the cutest?

Little Reindeer Lolly Parcels. They are just a carboard cutout with a miniature plastic cup glued upside down and filled with lollies. Here’s a side view

Now how cute are these for your children to give their friends as little christmas gifts. There’s still plenty of time, anyone up for it?

And just one more, a little decoration DS was given today by our Church Pastor. How simple is this, just a mini terracotta pot with a few little deocrations glued on.
