What Is Digital Scrapbooking?
Alright, are you ready to learn more about digital scrapbooking?
Digi-scrapping is simply using your computer, digital pictures, and a graphics software program to create scrapbook pages- instead of using paper, scissors, or glue. You’ll be surprised to know how easy digi-scrapping is. You can share your masterpieces in a variety of ways. My favorite way is to publish my pictures into hardbound books-called ‘Storybooks‘
Storybooking is about capturing your memories and telling the stories behind your pictures and messages you’d like to pass on in hardbound books. As we know all too well- even though we don’t think we’ll forget memorable moments, we do. However when written down often known as journaling, we’ll remember these special moments forever…
I’d like to share one of my favorite quotes about stories with you:
“Stories have power. They delight, enchant, touch, teach, recall, inspire, motivate, challenge. They help us understand. They imprint a picture on our minds. Consequently, stories often pack more punch than sermons. Want to make a point or raise an issue? Tell a story. Jesus did it. He called his stories ‘parables’.”
–Janet Litherland
Digital Scrapbooking offers many benefits such as:
o Requires less time and effort
o Less tools and supplies involved
o Doesn’t require a lot of space
o You won’t need to pack up your work area each time you finish a page. All you’ll have to do between sessions is simply save your work and turn off the computer.
o You don’t have to worry about wasting supplies- if you mess up, simply hit the delete button and start over again.
o If you want another copy of your scrapbook, simply publish another copy. If you are a traditional scrapbooker, you can also scan your layouts into your computer and place them into a digital scrapbook.
Next time we’ll talk about what you’ll need to begin. If you’ve been wanting to learn how to digital scrap, what are some of the questions you have?
Until Next Time,
Kasie
